Nice pic? Taken by a previous intern.

I’m older. Usually older than most people I photograph, but that does not stop me. Over the years I’ve worked in the medical field, corporate IT and as a project manager for a large telco on projects you have heard of. Organization and time management is something I do.

But there is something that I have always done.

I’ve been photographing from the days of film, twelve shots per roll. In black and white. Then 35mm black and white and colour, thirty-six shots per roll. I’ve processed my own film and done my own wet printing. Now I have digital cameras and still do my own printing.

I’ve completed lots of courses, joined organizations, got a certificate in digital photography and “kept my fingers in the pie” so to speak throughout the years.

After I got out of the corporate race, I started up a business. Once upon a time, I did have a studio (the location is now a condo) but I now work on location or in rented spaces. Some of my images have been on TV, in advertising, on web-based store fronts and in newspapers. Today my focus is on portrait, group and portfolio photography. I’ve done my share of weddings, events and advertising, but for the last few years, portraits is what I love doing. People don’t move that fast for portraits.

I have made mistakes, (who hasn’t) but the quality of my images remain. I work to make not only a great image, but to make you a great image. A timeless image is an image that will last.

Personally, I am a low-key person, some don’t think I laugh or smile and that I may look too serious based on my personal photos, but I do get excited doing a photo-session. My excitement is contagious. Clients typically end up having a great experience and some fun. (One even said the session was one of the best family times they had, even for a Saturday.)

My images have helped people with; finding mates on dating sites, models with their portfolios, remembrance photos of loved ones,  family images in both classic style or free form, self-affirmation photos and “I just want to remember me as I am” photos. Some I can show you and some I can’t. I am always discrete.

I approach my sessions with a bit of humour, bad humour nonetheless, (and can be serious when needed) but I prefer to have a free flowing, non-stressful time. I enjoy the process and I would like you to as well.

People have challenged me with the, “I don’t take a good picture.”

My response is, “You haven’t met me yet.”

So let’s meet. Give me a call.

(Note: This web site is all me, good or bad, it was not contracted out. No fancy web designer. Keeps overhead low. You can get an idea of my personality by reading these pages. I’m a straight shooter, no pun intended. Give me a call if you are curious to know more.)
