Most people I hear from who have not done traditional yearly portraits are usually uncomfortable with the idea of having portraits done. Some remember sessions as stuffy, rigid, assembly line type,  humourless affairs if they went to a big box store (are there any left?) or perhaps had a session with an uninterested photographer. Sometimes people just feel being uncomfortable in front of a camera, not knowing what to do.

Or perhaps you are none of the above. Perhaps family photos are a tradition. Maybe you love being in front of the camera (lots of selfies?) and just want something that makes you look a bit better, you can’t do yourself or you want a private session without  anyone around. Perhaps you just want to try a photo session with a new photographer for a new look and style.

Personally, I don’t like boring photo sessions, I prefer to make each session memorable and a bit of fun. I try to make everyone as comfortably at ease as possible during the session as I am interested in getting you the best images I can. But, I do warn you, I sometimes have really a bad sense of humour.

Don’t worry about “posing”. I use natural movements and suggest where to put your arms, legs, etc. Static posing, I think, went out with large film cameras and I use small, fast digital ones.

I shoot on location or we can rent a studio or other space as required. I have had sessions just about everywhere so feel free to ask or suggest spots.

If you liked what you saw, give me a call.
